Keith Black is in his 25th season serving as an assistant basketball coach at Juniata College. Coach Black returned to the Eagles staff at the start of the 2005-06 season after serving three years as the head coach of the boy’s basketball team at Huntingdon Area High School. This is his third stint as an assistant coach for Juniata.
Black first served as an assistant coach immediately after his graduation from Juniata from 1974 through the 1979-80 season. During that time he also worked with the junior varsity team. Black returned to the Juniata bench from 1997-2002 before accepting the Huntingdon High School position.
A Huntingdon native, Black graduated from Juniata in 1973 where he played basketball for four years as a shooting guard, lettering twice in his career. He has been involved in the Youth Basketball Leagues in Huntingdon for many years.
Black resides in Huntingdon with his wife Susan. They are the parents of Danielle, Matthew and Adam. Danielle and Adam are also Juniata College graduates.
