Three Eagles Named to Landmark Men’s Tennis All-Conference Team

TOWSON, Md.- The Landmark Conference on Tuesday announced its All-Conference Team. Juniata was represented by Dean Polisena (Adelaide, Australia/Saint Ignatius) on the First Team and Matyas Kohout (Prague, Czech Republic/Gymnasium Jizni Mesto) on the Second Team in singles. Polisena and Roy Liberman (Montevideo, Uruguay/EIHU) were both selected to the First Team as a doubles pair.

For Polisena, this is his third First Team honor. The two-time Player of the Year went 8-6 this season with a 5-2 mark in conference matches. He finishes his Eagle career with 51 wins to rank second in program history.

Kohout had a bounce back season after a subpar 2016 campaign. He posted a 9-3 overall record and was 6-1 in conference competition playing mostly at third singles.

Polisena and Liberman were the top doubles pair for Juniata. The duo went 9-6 on the year with a 5-2 mark in the Landmark. This is Polisena's second doubles recognition as he was selected to the First Team with his partner Kohout in 2015.

Juniata finished 9-3 in 2017 with a 6-1 record in Landmark matches. The Eagles played in their fourth straight Landmark championship match this year.
