HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men's volleyball team was tabbed fourth in the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) preseason poll.
Juniata was the only other team to receive a first-place vote from the coaches and totaled 104 points. The Eagles went 19-13 last year and return 12 players including All-American and CVC Player of the Year Quinn Peterson (Las Vegas, Nev. / Shadow Ridge). He is joined by junior outside hitters Sean Cavanagh (Cranberry Twp., Pa. / Seneca Valley) and Joe Fick (Venetia, Pa. / Peters Township). Middle Blocker, David Hibner (Burke, Va. / Lake Braddock Secondary) was third in the conference with 104 blocks and returns to provide the net defense for Juniata. Junior setter Matt Schaeffer (Mount Wolf, Pa. / Northeastern) is back once again after recording over 900 assists one year ago. Head Coach Glenn DeHaven brings in newcomers Kevin Duffy (Carlisle, Pa. / Carlisle HS) and Austin Goodsel (Corry, Pa. / Fort Leboeuf HS).
