HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata women's soccer team fell to Elizabethtown, 2-0, on Senior Day at Gibbel Stadium Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles best opportunity in the first half came when Jessica Zavadak (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) played a ball through the Blue Jay defense that Brooke Rotheram (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) ran onto. Seven minutes into the second half, Wynter Adams (Houtzdale, Pa./Moshannon Valley) fired a ball from the right side of the box towards the near post, but the keeper saved it. Later, in the 68th minute, Rotheram ripped a shot from 25 yards out from the right side, but it went over the crossbar. Eight minutes later, Aubrie Christensen (Suwanee, Ga./Manheim Township) fired from the left side of the 18, but it went wide right.
