Women’s tennis upended 6-3 by Susquehanna on “senior day”

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College took a pair of points in doubles play but added just one point in singles as the Eagles dropped a 6-3 Landmark Conference women's tennis match to Susquehanna University, Thursday afternoon on the Raffensperger Tennis Courts.

Juniata (6-8, 0-3 Landmark) got points at no. 2 doubles from Lisa Hauptman (Lorsch, Germany/Alfred-Delp-Schule) and Cara Stough (Friendsville, Md./Northern Garrett), and at no. 3 doubles from Stacie Beegle (Schellsburg, Pa./Chestnut Ridge) and Hilary Walsh (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro Area).

In singles play, the Eagles gained just one addition point – at no. 5 singles, where Stough logged a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 triumph over the Crusaders' Brielle Ferlauto.

Juniata's remaining two Landmark matches are on the road, starting with this Saturday's match at Goucher College on April 14.
