Women's Tennis Drops 8-1 Decision at Drew

MADISON, N.J.- The Juniata women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision at Drew University, Saturday afternoon.

Vienna Cordier (Medford, N.J. / Shawnee) and Savannah Bailey (Rockville, Md. / Richard Montgomery) lost, 8-7, 7-2 at first doubles, Grace Lewis (Northampton, Pa. / Northampton Area HS) and Theresa Joson (Bowmansville, Pa. / Garden Spot) lost, 8-0 at second doubles, and Kelley Appow (Freehold, N.J. / Freehold Township) and Jamie Mahigel (Lewistown, Pa. / Mifflin County) lost, 8-5 at third doubles. 

Cordier fell, 6-2, 6-1 at first singles, Bailey fell, 6-0, 6-0 at second singles, and Appow fell, 6-3, 6-2 at third singles. Lewis fell, 6-3, 6-0 at fourth singles. Kady Lohr (Shanksville, Pa. / -) was the lone winner for the Eagles as she won, 6-4, 7-5 at fifth singles. Emma Kramer (Chalfont, Pa. / Pennridge) fell, 6-2, 6-4 at sixth singles. 

Juniata travels to Scranton tomorrow for a conference match starting at 12:00PM.
