The Eagles defense battled hard against top-ranked TCNJ's offense, allowing just three goals out of 13 shots taken.
Senior Janelle Howard (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) spent the full 70 minutes in the cage and finished with a game-high two saves. And sophomore Tori Buser (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) picked up her third defensive save of the season in the loss.
Juniata returns to action on Sept. 27 when they travel to face Washington & Jefferson College (W&J). The two programs have been competing since 1988, but have not seen each other since 2010, when the Eagles posted a 4-2 win over W&J on the road in Washington, Pa.
