Kriss and Spadafora named to All-Landmark baseball squad
HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Senior outfielder Adam Spadafora (Asbury, N.J./Pennington School) and junior shortstop Andrew Kriss (Forest Hill, Md./John Carroll) were both named to the Second team All-Landmark Conference squad, when the league’s list of post-season honors was unveiled on Monday.
HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Senior outfielder Adam Spadafora (Asbury, N.J./Pennington School) and junior shortstop Andrew Kriss (Forest Hill, Md./John Carroll) were both named to the Second team All-Landmark Conference squad, when the league's list of post-season honors was unveiled on Monday.
Spadafora was second on the team in hitting with his .317 batting average, and was Juniata's leader in both hits (40) and runs (41). He ranked tenth in the Landmark in on base percentage with a .476 average, and was tied for fifth in the league in stolen bases with 19. This was Spadafora's second consecutive appearance on the All-Landmark team; he was a First team selection in 2008.
Kriss finished the 2009 campaign with a .267 average, and tallied 28 hits. A sure-handed infielder for the Eagles, he logged a .930 fielding percentage at shortstop committing just nine errors in 128 chances. Kriss is a repeat selection for Juniata on the All-Landmark Second team.
Juniata finished the season with a 14-23 record, 6-12 in the Landmark Conference.
