Baseball Earns Four Landmark All-Conference Selections
TOWSON, Md.- The Juniata baseball team landed four players on the Landmark All-Conference Team, as Dakotah Snyder, Michael Warren, and Joey Woodrow earned First Team spots, and Corey Daniels placed on the Second.
Dakotah Snyder joins Woodrow as a debutant on the all-conference team as a First Team outfielder. Snyder was third in the conference in hits (57), seventh in batting average (.352), tied for 11th in runs scored, and tied for 11th in total bases. Snyder's 57 hits tie him for the fourth most in a single season in program history. Snyder marked spots in the program record book in several categories, including a tie for the fourth-most hits (170), the ninth-best batting average (.334), the tenth-best slugging percentage (.444), the ninth-most total bases (226), and a tie for the ninth-most sacrifice flies (7).
Michael Warren makes it back-to-back years as a Landmark All-Confernce First Team first baseman. Warren tied for the fifth-most hits in the conference (55), tied for the fifth-most RBIs (40), tied for the fifth-most total bases (82), tied for eighth in home runs (5), was eighth in batting average (.346), 13th in slugging percentage (.516), and 15th in OPS. Warren entered the single season portion of the Juniata record book in several stats categories, including RBI (40, T-eighth), hits (55, T-ninth), total bases (82, 10th), putouts (285, sixth), and double play involvements (26, T-fourth). He ends his career eighth in slugging percentage (.466), tenth in on-base percentage (.416), tied for the third-most walks (74), tied for seventh in doubles (31), ninth in RBI (103), eighth in total bases (230), tied for fifth in sacrifice flies (9), sixth in times hit by pitch (22), and eighth in putouts (553).
Joey Woodrow lands on the first team as catcher for his first career Landmark Conference All-Conference selection. Among Landmark players, Woodrow tied for the second most doubles (15), was tied for tenth in batting average (.345), 13th in hits (38), and 14th in RBIs (32). His 15 doubles in 2024 is tied for the second most in a single season in program history. Through his junior year, he ranks fourth in career sacrifice flies (10), tied for tenth in doubles (30), and 10th in putouts (472).
Corey Daniels follows up a Landmark All-Conference First Team appearance in 2023 with a Second Team nod in 2024. Among Landmark Conference players, Daniels ranked second in stolen bases (29), tied for fifth in runs scored (40), tied for tenth in batting average (.345), 12th in on-base percentage (.463), 12th in OPS (.970), tied for 11th in hits (49), tied for 11th in total bases (72), and tied for 15th in home runs (4). With 30 stolen bases, Daniels broke Lucas Kelleher's record of 29 in the 2000 season for the most stolen bases in a single season. He also tied for the tenth most runs scored in a single season. Daniels concludes his time as an Eagle second in stolen bases (52), third in stolen base percentage (.897), tied for fourth in career on-base percentage (.436), and tenth in batting average (.333).
The Juniata baseball team completed the 2024 regular season with a 17-23, 7-17 record.
