Woodrow Named to ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Third Team

GREENSBORO, N.C.- Juniata catcher Joey Woodrow has been named to the ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region Third Team for Region 5. 

Woodrow adds to his list of accolades after being named to the Landmark All-Conference First Team. Among Landmark players, Woodrow tied for the second most doubles (15), was tied for tenth in batting average (.345), 13th in hits (38), and 14th in RBIs (32). His 15 doubles in 2024 is tied for the second most in a single season in program history. Through his junior year, he ranks fourth in career sacrifice flies (10), tied for tenth in doubles (30), and 10th in putouts (472). 

The 2024 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region teams and Regional Players of the Year have been announced in all 10 regions. The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America & Coach of the Year Committee.  

The ABCA All-America team was first recognized in 1949 and now includes nine divisions: NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I, II and III, Pacific Association Division, and high school. ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams were first recognized in 2007.
