WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.- The Juniata baseball team lost the opening game of their weekend series 2-0 against Lycoming College, Saturday afternoon at Brandon Park.
Braelan Huber got the start, allowing two runs on five hits with four strikeouts. Ethan Pfeffer was 1-2 with two walks for the Eagles, while both Ricky Scott and David Beard went 1-3 with a walk. Tim Coleman entered in relief and allowed one hit, while Landen Eichhorn scattered two hits in his two innings of work.
The Warriors did their damage in the second inning, scoring on a two-run double to left center that proved to be the difference.
The Eagles had their opportunity throughout, getting runners in scoring position several times, but couldn't quite get the hit when they needed it.
First pitch of the doubleheader is tomorrow at 12:00 to wrap up the series with Lycoming.
