HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The Juniata football program closes out its home season against Moravian College Saturday, Nov. 3 at 12 p.m. The Eagles will take time to honor their departing seniors before the Centennial Conference match-up. Moravian’s recent history eerily matches that of the Eagles. They have a head coach in his second season, who is an alum of the college, with a passing game that relies on the on arm of sophomore quarterback. They posted less than three wins last season and have just two on the books in 2012. Where the programs begin to differ are the numbers put up by the young QB’s and the stands of their defenses.
HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata football’s 14 first quarter points were enough to defeat Centennial Conference rival Moravian College, 14-6, Saturday afternoon. GREENVILLE, Pa. – Senior Scott Andrews did it again; he ended the 2011 season with an 18-yard field goal with 2.9 seconds left on the clock to lift Juniata College football to a 17-16 win over Susquehanna University, and he started the 2012 season with another field goal that gave the Eagles a 16-13 lead and the win over Thiel College on Saturday afternoon in Greenville, Pa.
