Field hockey gets votes on NFHCA preseason poll
HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College field hockey received 38 points worth of votes in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Preseason Poll, which was released Tuesday.
HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College field hockey received 38 points worth of votes in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Preseason Poll, which was released Tuesday.
Juniata, coming off a bit of an off year with an 11-9 record but making it to the ECAC Division III Mid-Atlantic Region Tournament Semifinal match, is looking to get back into the top 20 of the NFHCA poll when the 2012 season gets underway.
Catholic University of America was the only other Landmark Conference school to appear on the poll, placing 11th with 315 points.
Juniata opens its 2012 season on Friday, August 31 against Manhattanville at the Stevens Tournament with a 7:30 p.m. start time.
