HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Senior Emma Dahmus (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) added another award to her list of honors this week. The midfielder was named an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) All-Star after helping lead the Juniata College field hockey team back to the Landmark Conference tournament.
"It's another notch in her belt," said head coach Caroline Gillich. "Just appreciative that Emma was recognized for this big regional award. She's a phenomenal talent. When we were down at the senior all-star award, I had many coaches coming up to me saying 'wish she was on my team.' She's an exceptional talent that will be greatly missed."
This is the first time Dahmus has received the honor. She is the Eagles first ECAC all-star since 2009 and the sixth in the program's history. The two-time, first-team all-conference selection was also named National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-Region and a Senior All-Star. Dahmus closes her illustrious career ranked for points and assists on the program's career all-time list. A Landmark Senior Scholar-Athlete, she will graduate with a degree in biology this spring and looks to attend medical school next fall.
