Field Hockey Earns First Win of the Season Against Alvernia
HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata field hockey team picked up their first win of the season against Alvernia at home, on a humid Friday evening. The Eagles defeated the Golden Wolves 1-0.

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata field hockey team picked up their first win of the season against Alvernia at home, on a humid Friday evening. The Eagles defeated the Golden Wolves 1-0.
The teams went scoreless in the first half. With about five mintues left in the second half Meredith Shephard (Cazenovia, N.Y. / Cazenovia) shot from the center and put in a goal through the goalkeepers legs.
Alvernia led in total shots 9-6 and had sizeable advantage in penalty corners, 10-1. Kylie Edwards (Danville, Pa. / Danville) recorded eight saves throughout the game.
The Eagles will play at home Wednesday, September 5th. They will face Lebanon Valley at 7:00 PM.
