HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata field hockey team lost to visiting Susquehanna University 3-0 on Tuesday evening at Knox Stadium.
Amanda Puza made nine saves in goal for the Eagles, while Kara Stringfellow made two saves when she entered the game in the fourth quarter.
The teams were scoreless in the first quarter, with SU holding a 5-1 advantage in shots in the first quarter.
The River Hawks found the back of the Eagle cage twice in three minutes in the second, but Juniata held a 3-2 edge in shots but trailed 2-0 at halftime.
SU added a third in the third quarter to complete the scoreline.
Juniata returns to action this Saturday at Moravian at 1:00.
