HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata field hockey team lost to Catholic, 2-0, in their season finale at Knox Stadium Wednesday evening.
Kara Stringfellow made two saves in goal for the Eagles.
In the sixth minute, the Cardinals scored on a pass from the right end line that found the stick of another Cardinal right in front of the Eagle goal for a tap-in.
Catholic led 1-0 at the half, with a 10-0 advantage in shots and an 8-1 advantage in penalty corners.
Four minutes into the third, a marauding run by the Catholic midfielder with the ball at her stick saw her find a teammate at the right post by herself, and she calmly smacked it into the cage.
The Cardinals ended the contest with a 14-2 edge in shots and a 12-1 lead in penalty corners.
Juniata finishes the year 2-17.
