Juniata To Host Alfred In First Round of ECAC Tournament, Wednesday
CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Just over one week removed from the end of the regular season, the Juniata College men’s basketball team earned a bid to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Southwest tournament. The fourth seeded Eagles will host fifth seed Alfred University in a quarterfinals contest Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center.

CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Just over one week removed from the end of the regular season, the Juniata College men's basketball team earned a bid to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Southwest tournament. The fourth seeded Eagles will host fifth seed Alfred University in a quarterfinals contest Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center.
Juniata, 15-10 overall, finished the Landmark Conference season, February 22, with a 72-50 win over Drew University, just missing out on the league tournament with an in-conference record of 6-8. The Eagles were ECAC South region champions on year ago and enter the matchup with Alfred 1-1 all-time against the Saxons.
Alfred stands at 18-8 on the year and finished Empire 8 play with an 9-5 league record. The Saxons qualified as the No. 4 seed in the Empire 8 tournament and fell to eventual league champions Harwick College, 90-85, in the tournament semifinals February 28.
The winner will move onto the tournament semifinals Saturday, March 8.
