Juniata Posts Second-Highest Scoring Game in Program History in 119–40 Win
Huntingdon, Pa. – Juniata men's basketball delivered one of the most prolific offensive performances in program history, defeating Central Penn 119–40 on Monday night inside Memorial Gymnasium.
The Eagles' 119 points marked the second-highest single-game total in Juniata men's basketball history, trailing only the program record of 121 points, as Juniata (3–6) overwhelmed Central Penn (0–13) from start to finish.
Juniata led 44–20 at the break before erupting for 75 points in the second half, outscoring the Knights 75–20 over the final 20 minutes. The Eagles showcased their depth and pace, with 14 different players scoring in the contest.
Joe Bruce led Juniata with 15 points in 20 minutes, adding three steals and two assists. Ty Kocak produced a double-double with 16 points and a game-high 13 rebounds, while Ayden Hurley chipped in 12 points and five assists.
The Eagles controlled the glass, holding a 70–36 rebounding advantage, including 30 offensive boards. Jayden Bilger added 12 points and two blocks, while Marek Hoyt provided a spark off the bench with 11 points on three made three-pointers.
Juniata's reserves accounted for 61 points, highlighted by Tre Yawn, who dished out a team-high six assists, and Benjamin Landesman, who finished 4-for-5 from the field for eight points. The Eagles shot 47.9 percent from the floor and forced 28 Central Penn turnovers.
Cameron Wilson paced Central Penn with 12 points and eight rebounds, while Gabriel Kearney added nine points.
Juniata returns to action tomorrow against Franciscan in the Championship Game of the Doc Greene Tournament at 4pm.
