Men's Golf Takes A Bite Out Of Second Place at Hershey
Hershey, Pa.- The Eagles teed off their fall season today at Hershey Country Club at the Elizabethtown College Fall Invitational. The Eagles shot a collective 12 over 296 to take solo second, only losing to an Elizabethtown squad playing on their home course.
Ben Pintof played a solid round for the Eagles today, shooting a one-over-par 72. Pintof finished T2 after shooting two under through his last five holes. Griffin Snowberger piled on to an impressive First-Year campaign, shooting a three over 74. Snowberger secured a T7 finish after a consistent two-birdie performance. Harrison Levithan followed, shooting 75 on a fast and firm course. Levithan settled into a T9 position in the field of 60 players, grabbing three birdies along the way. Isaak Bloom made his season debut, shooting 75 with four birdies at Hershey today. Bloom tied Levithan and others to finish T9, meaning all scoring members of Juniata's squad placed in the top 10. Ryan Hilyard made his collegiate debut, pacing himself with a 37 back nine to shoot 77. Hilyard proved he would be a valuable piece to Juniata's lineup in the future, securing a solo 16th-place finish in a tough field.
The Eagles play next with a B team event at Susquehanna Valley on September 18th.
