Eagles Slash Their Way To A Top 5 Finish at Royal Manchester
Manchester, Pa- The Juniata Men's Golf Team traveled to Royal Manchester Golf Links today to finish up competition in the York College Spartan Shootout. The Eagles remained pat in fifth place shooting 325 as a team good for a two-shot improvement.
Kole Washleski led the Eagles today, shooting a team-best 79. Washleski challenged the field to secure a T17 finish in a field of 46 players. Ryan Hilyard followed Washleski with a three-sht improvement to shoot 81. Hilyard finished the round at Royal Manchester in T28 position. Griffin Snowberger stuck the ball well today, shooting 82. The fescue-lined track played as a red penalty hazard on a day where Snowberger netted a T21 finish. Ben Pintof bagged an 82 along with a pair of birdies. Pintof would go on to finish in T28 position overall. Ian Nagel rounded out scoring today for the Eagles shooting 91. Nagel found a birdie to finish off the tournament on the 18th.
The Eagles tee off again at the Landmark Conference Championships on October 25th and 26th at Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort.
