Brown Leads Eagles at The Cardinal Classic
Hagerstown, Md. - The Eagles took their B and C teams down south to compete in the Catholic Cardinal Classic hosted at Black Rock Golf Club. The course played to nearly 6,700 yards with the Eagles B team taking 5th place, shooting 635 (+57) through two windy days. The C team finished in 11th after two days of play.
Ethan Brown led the way for the Eagles, shooting 76 on day one and continuing the pace on day two, shooting 77. Brown took the T8 position for the event, leading the Eagles by three shots. Harrison Levithan followed up Brown with a 73 on day one and an 83 on day two. Levithan picked up six birdies during his stay at Black Rock to finish in the T13 position. Larry Singer was the next scoring member for the Eagles B team, shooting 81 and 79. Singer went on to finish in 27th place. Elliot Lingle fought hard for the Eagles as the last scoring member of the B team, shooting 80 and 86. Ian Nagel finished in T42 position for the Eagles B team at the conclusion of the tournament with an 82 and 86.
Jaron Yoder was the class of the C team down in Hagerstown , finishing in T36 position. Yoder saw five birdies in the cup with a 78-87 split. Colin Wible followed Yoder closely, finishing in T38 position, only one shot behind Yoder. Wible battled the wind with an 83 on both days for a combined 166. Nick McCann was consistent as the third scoring member of the B team, shooting 180 total. Andrew Czajka followed McCann with a 182 on the weekend down in Hagerstown. Shawn Gamble had a solid first day but faltered on day two in the wind to shoot 186.
The Eagles A team will head to Bedford Springs to take on a slew of conference contenders this Tuesday.
