Eagles Take 4th at Bedford Springs
Bedford, Pa.- The Eagles traveled out to Bedford to the Omni Bedford Golf Course, known as Bedford Springs. The course played to a total of 6,785 yards and was a par 72 in sunny conditions.
Ryan Hilyard led the way for the squad today, shooting 79. Hilyard battled hard after an eventful first seven holes, picking up four birdies in his last 11 holes. Hilyard finished three under par in his last 11 holes to finish the tournament in T10 position. Ben Pintof finished one shot behind Hilyard, shooting 80 after draining a birdie quickly on the second hole. Pintof had a one over par front nine and finished the event in T15. Ethan Brown also finished in T15 position, matching the 80 Pintof put up on the leaderboard. Brown didn't find a birdie until the 16th hole of the day; however, that was due to draining an eagle on the 615-yard, par five 13th hole. Griffin Snowberger came in just behind Brown and Pintof with an 82. Snowberger's 82 put him in 22nd place for the tournament as the last scoring member for the Eagles. Kole Washleski picked up an early birdie on the third hole of the day but would go on to finish with an 84.
Harrison Levithan lit it up for the Eagles as an individual, taking home 4th place. Levithan pieced together an impressive back nine, shooting even, with a birdie on the 10th.
The Eagles play next at Moselem Springs, hosted by Pennsylvania College of Technology, on April 19th.
