Brown, Pintof and Snowberger Named All-Conference as Eagles Take Fourth At Landmarks
Delaware, Pa.- The Juniata Men's Golf team traveled to Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort for the Landmark Conference Championship this spring. The Eagles were seventh in the pre-championship poll and finished in fourth place in the championship. The Eagles shot a 312 and a 304 for a collective 616, putting them in fourth place. This is marked as their highest finish in program history since the Landmark moved to a 10-team field. The Eagles also had Ben Pintof and Griffin Snowberger named 2nd Team All-Conference and Ethan Brown named an All-Conference Honorable Mention.
Ben Pintof finished in ninth place in the conference, earning his first career Landmark All-Conference selection. Pintof fired a 77 on day one in nasty weather, following it up with a 76 on day two. Pintof picked up four birdies enroute to his stellar weekend at Shawnee. Griffin Snowberger shot the low round of the day for the Eagles on day two, shooting a 74 to secure a ninth-place finish and Landmark All-Conference selection alongside Pintof. Snowberger's first All-Conference selection comes as a sophomore for the Eagles in a weekend where he holed five birdies for a collective 153. Ethan Brown made his third Landmark Conference Championships appearance this weekend and secured his first nod as a Landmark All-Conference team member. Brown shot a pair of 77's for the Eagles, continuing on his consistent spring. Brown's tenure as an Eagle saw the Eagles go from last in the conference in his first year in 2023 all the way up the leaderboard to fourth. Harrison Levithan pulled in a nice round on day two, shooting 77 in cold, windy conditions on the Delaware River. The Wilmington native finished in solo 26th place for the Eagles, finding two birdies in his last seven holes. Ryan Hilyard made his Landmark Conference Championship debut this spring, finishing in T29 position. Hilyard shot 79-81 in challenging conditions to finish his first season donning the blue and gold.
The Eagles will now fly into the offseason high, looking for continued improvement.
