Williamsport, Pa. – Juniata men's lacrosse dropped a 24-7 road decision to Penn College Wednesday evening.
Juniata (0-2) scored once in the opening quarter and trailed 8-1 after 15 minutes. The Wildcats extended the margin with a 9-3 second quarter to take a 17-4 lead into halftime and maintained control the rest of the way.
Zane Kromer led the Eagles with a hat trick, finishing with three goals on six shots and three shots on goal.
Brayden Yeager recorded three points with one goal and two assists, while Jahmir Barber added a goal and an assist. Noah Harrison and Logan Douglas each contributed one goal to round out Juniata's scoring.
The Eagles were led on the ground by Sterling Bechler, who collected six ground balls. Noah Harrison collected three groundballs and went 7 of 29 at the faceoff.
Juniata went 20-for-30 on clears and 0-for-2 in extra-man opportunities. Penn College held advantages in shots (67-35), shots on goal (39-18), ground balls (51-32), and faceoffs (24-34).
The Eagles will continue non-conference play on Saturday against Alvernia.
