HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men's lacrosse team fell in the last game of the season, 31-5, to visiting Catholic University of America, Wednesday evening.
Zane Kromer scored three for the Eagles, Brayden Yeager added a goal and an assist, and Sterling Bechler added a goal and an assist. Noah Harrison scooped up 10 ground balls, while Landon Heddens caused two turnovers. Griffin Umstead made 20 saves in goal for the Eagles.
Kromer scored off Yeager's assist 10 minutes into the game, to make it 3-1 Catholic. The Cardinals scored three more before Kromer struck again while a man-up, as Juniata went to their sideline down 6-2 after one.
Bechler found Sterling for another goal in the second, but Catholic dominated the quarter, outscoring JC 10-1 and leading 16-3 at the break.
The Cardinals had a 15-2 advantage in the second half. Harrison went 8-8 on faceoffs in the fourth quarter.
