CRESSON, Pa. – Juniata men's soccer took away a 2-0 victory over Mount Aloysius College on Wednesday afternoon in Cresson, Pa. to mark the team's fifth straight victory.
Juniata's (5-1) junior Dane Azeles (Duncansville, Pa./Hollidaysburg) scored first for the Eagles in the 13th minute.
An Anthony Glossner (Centre Hall, Pa./Penns Valley) pass to Patrick McEvoy (Avon, N.Y./Avon Central) to the sure-foot of Evan Decker (New Berlin, Pa./Mifflinburg) who scored his second goal of the season in the 85th minute.
The Eagles missed out on another goal opportunity when Greg Hess' (Hanover, Pa./South Western) penalty shot sparked an incredible save by Mount Aloysius goalkeeper, Jamie Greenwood.
Juniata took a total 15 shots at the Mounties' goal, and Mount Aloysius only took five and forced Ezra Cassel (Denver, Pa./Cocalico), Juniata's keeper, to make one save.
The Eagles travel to King's College for a 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 15, game.
