Monarchs Reign over Eagles with Last Second Goal

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men's soccer fell 2-1 against King's College, Saturday afternoon.
The first half was scoreless with the Eagles only able to get off three shots. In the 26th minute, Jacob Grove (Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin HS) shot from the right side but it was saved by the goalie.
Less than a minute into the second half, King's scored their first goal of the game. About a minute later, Wyatt Page (King of Prussia, Pa. / Shipley) took a shot from the middle but it was high. In the 64th minute, Page got off another shot but it was saved by the Monarch's goalie. After a foul on King's, Bass Diakoumpa (Dakar, Senegal / Mercersburg Academy) scored the Eagles lone goal via a penalty kick to tie up the game. With 45 seconds left in the game, King's scored their second goal to secure the, 2-1 win.
Andrew Yeich (Middletown, Pa. / Middletown Area) made eight saves in goal. King's held a 17-8 edge in shots over Juniata.
The Eagles will host Mt. Aloysius, Wednesday, September 11th at 5:30 pm.
