Huntingdon, Pa. – Juniata men's soccer battled Landmark foe Elizabethtown to a 1-1 draw on Saturday afternoon, extending its unbeaten streak at home behind an early goal from Jase Colino.
The Eagles struck first in the 10th minute when Colino found the back of the net with a low shot to the right side, finishing a well-executed build-up assisted by Jalen Holliday and Beckett Young.
Juniata continued to apply pressure in the first half, outshooting the Blue Jays and creating several dangerous chances off eight corner kicks.
Elizabethtown leveled the match in the 52nd minute on a goal from Shea Sporer, and despite both sides pushing for a late winner, neither could break through in the final moments. Juniata's back line held strong in the second half, limiting the Blue Jays to just three shots on goal.
The Eagles finished with a 13-12 edge in total shots and will look to build on the hard-fought result as they continue conference play against Goucher this Saturday at 1:00 PM. .
