Men's Soccer Notches Two Landmark All-Conference Selections
Huntingdon, Pa.- The Juniata men's soccer team secured two selections to the Landmark All-Conference team, with both Gavin Rauhut and Maxwell Mattioni named second team members.
Rauhut, a senior defender from Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania, proved to be a key piece for the Eagles yet again. Rauhut contributed a total of nine points for the Eagles with three goals and three assists. Earning his second all-conference selection, he cemented his place in the record book with 15 career assists, placing him third all-time in program history. Rauhut contributed to an impressive defense, only allowing 11 goals in 19 games while starting all 16 games he appeared in.
Mattioni secured a second consecutive all-conference selection, earning a selection each year he has been the starter for the Eagles. The junior keeper from Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, logged a total of 1609 minutes between the posts for the Eagles while recording 52 saves. Mattioni finishes the regular season ninth in the country with nine shutouts and 32nd in the nation with a .825 save percentage.
The Eagles finish conference play with a 7-5-7 record overall and will go on to play McDaniel College in pod three of the ECAC Championship Tournament this coming weekend.
