Juniata Closes Landmark Championships with a Seventh-Place Finish
Baltimore, Md. - The Juniata Men's Swimming team wound up taking seventh as they concluded the Landmark Championships on Sunday.
In the men's 1650-yard freestyle, Christian Rota posted an 18:39.66.
Juniata added multiple performances in the men's 200-yard backstroke, led by Will Dovey (2:16.63) and Kevin Bowser (2:16.98) in the prelims.
In the men's 100-yard freestyle, Ben Schultz (50.38) and Yui Inagi (50.43) paced the Eagles in prelims, followed by Matthew Tiernan (56.20) and Isaac March (56.70).
In the men's 200-yard breaststroke, Max Baronner turned in a 2:24.03 in the B final, while Matthew Rota (2:25.25) and Jim Oster (2:36.95) competed in prelims.
Juniata also put swimmers into the men's 200-yard butterfly finals, with Wyatt Cole finishing 10th in the B final (2:07.09) and Cody Hartle placing 14th (2:11.55).
The meet concluded with the men's 400-yard freestyle relay, as Wyatt Cole, Matthew Rota, Yui Inagi, and Ben Schultz combined for a 3:20.82 to place seventh.
