SCRANTON, Pa. – The Juniata men's tennis team played back-to-back conference matches this weekend, ending in Scranton and coming up short 8-1 Sunday afternoon.
The team of Ezenna Emuka and Dillon Murphy got beaten 8-1 in third doubles as Axel Chabbert and Kyle Louder fell 8-2 in second doubles. In first doubles, Martin Munoz and Utsav Deravariya contended but ultimately lost 8-5.
In singles play, Louder got beaten 6-0, 6-0 in third singles, and Chabbert was defeated 6-1, 6-1 in second singles. Deravariya lost 6-2, 6-1 in fourth singles, while Emuka fell 6-3, 6-3 in fifth doubles. Murphy lost a tough battle 6-3, 7-5 in sixth singles. Last but not least, Munoz finished with a victory 7-6 (5), 7-5 in first singles.
The men's tennis team travel to Penn State Altoona for a Wednesday match starting at 4:30 pm.
