HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The men's tennis team defeated the Blue Jays 6-3 on Sunday afternoon at Raffensperger Courts during their second match of the weekend.
The duo of Martin Munoz and Ross Conway defeated their opponents 8-1 in first doubles, as Utsav Deravariya and Axel Chabbert also beat their Blue Jays matchups 8-0 in third doubles. Ezenna Emuka and Dillon Murphy fell 6-8 in second doubles.
In singles play, Munoz took down his challenger 6-2, 6-0 in first singles. Deravariya lost 1-6, 3-6 in third singles, but Murphy won 6-4, 6-3 in fourth singles. In fifth singles, Chabbert secured a win 6-1, 6-0, while Emuka dropped his set 2-6, 6-7 in second singles. Conway earned a point for the Eagles 6-1, 6-0 in sixth singles.
The Eagles travel to Westminster (Pa.) next Saturday, April 8, for a 1:00 pm start.
