HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata men's tennis team blanked Mt. Aloysius Friday evening at Raffensperger Tennis Courts.
In doubles play, Martin Munoz and Francisco Aran Martin beat their opponent 8-1 in first doubles while Ezenna Emuka and Ustav Deravariya won 8-4 in second doubles. Arthur DeYoung and Ross Conway were slated to play in third doubles, but the Mounties conceded that match.
In singles play, Aran Martin won 6-1, 6-0 in first singles, and Arsen Tabaldyev won 6-1, 5-0 before the Mountie opponent retired in second singles. Adrián Di Benedetto Vásquez beat his opponent 6-1, 6-0 in third singles while DeYoung won 6-0, 6-1 in fourth singles. Dillon Murphy swept his opponent 6-0, 6-0 in fifth singles. Conway was supposed to play sixth singles, but the Mounties forfeited that match.
The Juniata men's tennis team play again at home, Sunday at 1:00 pm.
