HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The men's tennis team swept Hood Friday afternoon at Raffensperger Courts to kick off spring break before they head down to sunny Florida.
Doubles play was kicked off by Ezenna Emuka and Arthur DeYoung beating their Blazer opponents 8-4 in first doubles while Dillon Murphy and Ross Conway blanked Hood 8-0 in second doubles. Adrián Di Benedetto Vásquez and Utsav Deravariya won in third doubles by default.
The Eagles didn't let up as they headed into singles play. Basile Gandon won 6-3, 6-2 in first singles while Benedetto Vasquez beat his opponent 6-2, 6-0 in second singles. Conway won 6-1, 6-1 in third singles and DeYoung wrapped up the day winning 6-1, 6-1 in fourth singles. Dillon Murphy and Deravariya won by default in firth and sixth singles.
The Eagles will fly to Florida to take on Birmingham Southern Sunday, March 10 at 6:00 pm.
