MADISON, N.J.- The Juniata men's tennis team was swept by Landmark Conference opponent Drew on Sunday afternoon.
Arthur DeYoung and Arsen Tabaldyev paired in first doubles for the second time this weekend, losing 4-8. Adrián Di Benedetto Vásquez and Basile Gandon pushed the second doubles match to a tiebreaker before losing 7-8 (5-7). Ross Conway and Dillon Murphy were defeated in third doubles 2-8.
Arsen Tabaldyev fell in the third set of first singles 3-6, 6-4, 0-1 (7-10). Gandon also lost via tiebreaker in second singles 7-6 (8-6), 1-6, 0-1 (6-10). Di Benedetto Vásquez third singles 2-6, 2-6, while Conway fell 1-6, 5-7 in fourth singles. DeYoung was defeated in fifth singles 3-6, 0-6, while Murphy lost 0-6, 2-6 in sixth singles.
The Juniata men's tennis team returns to competition in a little over a week as they host Division II Shepherd on Monday, April 1st, at 4:00 pm.
