ALTOONA, Pa. – The men's tennis team bested Catholic University of America 7-2 on Saturday afternoon.
Doubles action saw Arsen Tabaldyev and Arthur DeYoung beating their opponent 8-4 in first doubles and Basile Gandon and Adrián Di Benedetto Vásquez winning 8-4 in second doubles. Dillon Murphy and Ross Conway fell 87-75 in third doubles.
Tabaldyev bested his Cardianl opponent 6-0, 6-4 in first singles and Gandon won 6-1, 2-6, 6-3 in second singles. In third singles, Di Benedetto Vásquez beat his opponent 77-65, 5-7, 6-4, while Conway won in a tiebreaker 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 in fourth singles. DeYoung got JC's seventh point in fifth singles, winning 6-1, 6-2, but Murphy dropped 87-72 in sixth singles.
The Eagles travel to Goucher next Saturday, April 20th for a 1:00 pm match.
