Eagles Dominate in 6-1 Victory at Lycoming
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Juniata College men's tennis team rebounded from yesterdays loss with a convincing 6-1 win over Lycoming on Wednesday afternoon at Brandon Park.
The Eagles swept all three doubles matches to take the opening point. Jules Guyot and Adrian DiBenedetto led the way with a dominant 6-1 win at No. 1, while Dillon Murphy and Come Burghgraeve blanked their opponents 6-0 at No. 2. Gustaf Geremia and Arthur DeYoung completed the sweep with another 6-0 win at No. 3.
In singles play, Guyot cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at the top spot, and DiBenedetto followed with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 2. Lycoming earned its lone point at No. 3 singles, where Murphy fell in a tight three-set battle.
DeYoung, Burghgraeve, and Geremia each posted straight-set wins at the fourth, fifth, and sixth spots, respectively, sealing the Eagles' 4th win of the season.
Juniata will wrap up its regular-season slate this weekend at home against Wilkes.
