Guyot and Vasquez Named to Landmark All-Conference
Towson, MD - The Juniata men's tennis team had two members named to the Landmark All-Conference Teams. Jules Guyot was named to the Landmark All-Conference First Team and Adrian Di Benedetto Vasquez was named to the second team.
Guyot made an immediate impact in his debut collegiate season. Competing in both singles and doubles, Jules finished the year with a solid record, notching 6 singles wins against 4 losses and 1 tie, and adding 5 doubles victories with 4 losses. In doubles play, Jules demonstrated chemistry with his partners, going 5-4 and helping secure important points in team wins. He recorded doubles victories in matchups against Penn College, Elizabethtown, Moravian, Lycoming, and Wilkes, winning 5 sets and 34 games across those matches.
Di Benedetto Vasquez built on a promising first season to emerge as one of the most reliable and experienced players on the roster. Hailing from Puerto Escondido, Mexico, and a graduate of Centro Educativo Manantial, Adrian posted a strong 2024 campaign with 6 singles wins, 3 losses, and 1 tie, while also contributing 5 doubles victories to his team's overall success. In doubles competition, Adrian's court awareness and shot placement made him a reliable partner. He earned 5 winsagainst 3 losses, capturing 5 sets and 36 games. Notably, he was undefeated in doubles play during the final stretch of the season, recording wins in his last three appearances against Moravian, Lycoming, and Wilkes.
