Eagles Land Six on Landmark All-Conference Team

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Strong performances at the Indoor Landmark Conference Championships from the Juniata track and field teams earned six student-athletes All-Conference honors.

The distance medley relay team of Allyson Kopera (Hastings, Pa. / Northern Cambria), Yanibel Collado (Freeport, NY / Forest Hills) , Jecenia Duran (Temple, Pa. / Olley Valley) and Meaghen Stewart (Greensburg, Pa. / Hempfield) was selected to the Second Team All-Conference. At Landmarks, they took second place with a time of 13:04.31. Their performance earned the group a spot in the Juniata record books as they recorded the second-best time in school history.

A time of 8:59.41 in the 3000-meter run earned Conor Dimond (Summerhill, Pa. / Forest Hills) Second Team honors and a second place finish at the meet. The time is the third-best in Juniata history.

Matthew Kinnebrew (Lansdowne, Va. / Stonebridge) was named Rookie of the Year for his impressive showing in the jump events. Kinnebrew finished second place in the high jump and the triple, earning him Second Team honors in each event. He also finished fourth in the long jump. Kinnebrew ranks second all-time in the high jump (1.88m) and fourth all-time in the triple jump (13.04m) at JC.

Eagles track and field begins their outdoor season March 19 at the Juniata Invitational.
