Ndikwe, Fritzges Claim Wins to Lead Juniata Men’s Indoor Track & Field
Selinsgrove, Pa. – The Juniata Eagles men's track and field team delivered several standout performances, highlighted by podium finishes in the sprints and strong relay showings.
Senior Colson Lewis earned a second-place finish in the 60-meter dash, running 7.00 seconds in the final after qualifying at 6.97. Freshman Djemba Ndikwe followed closely, placing fifth in the final (7.11) and adding a third-place finish in the 200 meters with a time of 23.29.
In the relays, Juniata's A squad in the 4x400 meters—Djemba Ndikwe, Caleb Massare, Colson Lewis, and Deric Fritzges—finished sixth overall in 3:42.33. The B relay added a 14th-place finish at 3:50.50.
The Eagles were well-represented in the quarter-mile, led by Deric Fritzges, who placed ninth overall in the 400 meters with a time of 54.88. Parker Thomas followed with a 12th-place finish (55.71), while Braden Barrick and Shane Smith also competed.
In the 800 meters, Josh Wilson paced Juniata with a fifth-place finish in 2:09.19, followed closely by Jacob Alexander in 2:12.88.
Juniata will continue the season next week at Franklin & Marshall.
