Men Finish Fifth at Landmark Conference Championships
Selinsgrove, Pa. – Juniata competed at the Landmark Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships.
In the 60m, Djemba Ndikwe qualified for finals with a 7.11 in prelims and placed seventh in 7.68, scoring two points. Isaiah Huffstutler ran 7.21 in prelims, and Creig Jr. Bell posted 7.42.
In the 400m, Ndikwe placed fifth in 51.02 to earn four points.
In the 800m, Deric Fritzges ran a personal-best 1:59.15 to finish fifth and score four points. In the 60m hurdles prelims, Fritzges clocked 9.09. Parker Thomas ran 9.84, and Kaelano Kelly recorded a personal-best 10.25.
In the 5000m, Conrad Coffey posted a personal-best 16:18.69, while Adam Gallo ran a season-best 16:46.68.
In field events, Gavin Robb placed second in the pole vault, clearing 4.05m to score eight points. Sean Buckley cleared 3.60m, and Joey McGowan cleared 3.00m.
In the throws, Spencer Siegel placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 14.58m, earning five points, and sixth in the weight throw with a mark of 14.48m, adding three points. Talbot Reed-Jaquay recorded 10.33m in the weight throw.
In the high jump, Ray Stonesifer and Jacob Alexander each cleared 1.77m. In the long jump, Caleb Massare jumped 6.03m, Kaelano Kelly recorded a personal-best 5.27m, and Shane Smith posted 4.97m. In the triple jump, Waylon Ehrenzeller recorded a season-best 11.88m.
In relays, the distance medley relay team of Jacob Alexander, Shane Smith, J. Wilson, and C. Gaynor finished in 11:50.07 to score one point. The 4x200m relay of Parker Thomas, Isaiah Huffstutler, Creig Jr. Bell, and I. Foreman ran 1:37.00 to earn two points. The 4x400m relay of Caleb Massare, Deric Fritzges, Parker Thomas, and J. Wilson posted a season-best 3:35.40, adding three points.
