Siegel Wins Shot Put, Juniata Men Finish Fifth at Landmark Championships
Huntingdon, Pa. – Juniata men's track and field placed fifth at the Landmark Outdoor Championships hosted by Juniata College with 36.5 team points, highlighted by a conference title from Spencer Siegel.
Siegel delivered the top performance for the Eagles, winning the shot put with a mark of 15.66m to earn 10 points. He also added a fourth-place finish in the hammer throw (45.33m, 5 points) and placed eighth in the discus (38.96m, 1 point), accounting for nearly half of Juniata's team total.
On the track, Djemba Ndikwe earned a runner-up finish in the 400m with a personal-best time of 49.49, adding eight points. In the sprints, Colson Lewis qualified for the 100m final with a 10.89 in prelims before finishing fifth in 11.00 to score four points.
Juniata added points in the high jump, where Ray Stonesifer cleared 1.78m to place fifth (3.5 points). The 4x400m relay team of Josh Wilson, Ndikwe, Parker Thomas, and Jake Alexander placed sixth in 3:28.68 to add three points, while the 4x100m relay of Isaiah Huffstutler, Creig Jr. Bell, Caleb Massare, and Gavin Robb finished seventh in a season-best 44.67 for two points.
Additional performances included McClain Reamer (4:17.91) and Andrew Quinn (4:27.40, personal best) in the 1500m, CJ Coffey (16:03.04) and Adam Gallo (16:29.06) in the 5000m, and Clark Gaynor (35:09.42) and Holden David (38:22.27) in the 10,000m.
Moravian captured the team title with 221 points, followed by Susquehanna (184.5) and Catholic (164), while Juniata's 36.5 points secured a fifth-place finish in the eight-team field.
