From the Kevin Pratte Foundation
This January 23rd and 24th 2026, Juniata College will host the inaugural Kevin Pratte Foundation Tournament, featuring an exciting lineup of NCAA Division III volleyball teams. Competing in this event along with Juniata is: Hobart, SUNY New Paltz, Eastern Mennonite, and Widener, all eager to showcase their talents on the court.
Established in 2023, the Kevin Pratte Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in San Diego, California. Board members include, Francie Pratte and Brian Adamson. Its primary mission is to raise funds that provide high school boys' volleyball scholarships, specifically to support their club fees. This initiative has already seen numerous success stories, with scholarship recipients benefiting from not just financial assistance, but also invaluable mentorship from Kevin Pratte himself. Winners receive guidance on how to pursue their dreams of playing collegiate volleyball.
Head Coach Glenn DeHaven, plays a pivotal role in promoting men's volleyball through his weekly podcast, KP HERE, available on Spotify. Coach DeHaven has expressed commitment to the development of men's college volleyball, particularly at the NCAA Division III level. This past summer, he collaborated with Kevin Pratte in Tennessee, where they hosted a camp that attracted over 60 young volleyball players and garnered attention from local news outlets. "I couldn't be more excited to host the first-ever Kevin Pratte Foundation Tournament. Growing the sport and creating opportunities for those less fortunate is something I'm deeply passionate about. Amazing people like Kevin and his family have worked tirelessly to bring the sport of volleyball to boys across the country, and we continue to see boys' volleyball outpacing the growth of all other boys' sports. Hosting this tournament allows Juniata College to do its part while sharing our proud tradition and love for the game. Thank you, Kevin, for this incredible opportunity," said Dehaven.
Hobart's head coach, Stephen England, has previously worked alongside Kevin Pratte at various camps and shares a deep respect for the foundation's goals. "It is an honor and privilege that Juniata is allowing the Kevin Pratte Foundation to host the January 23rd and 24th tournament," stated England. "Glenn DeHaven is an excellent coach and dear friend. I admire that he sees the value in the Kevin Pratte Foundation and is allowing us to be part of this special weekend. On behalf of The Kevin Pratte Foundation, thank you Coach Glenn and Juniata. You are helping bring our foundation to greater heights."
The foundation's impact can be seen in its winners, such as Curtis Flower, currently serving on his LDS mission, and John Howard III, who is playing at UMES. Other alumni include Max Kuhn at Weber International, Aakash Malvankar at Spalding, Marty O'Brien at UCLA, Yensy Rodriguez, Mark Wolf high school student in Missouri, Lucas Weller high school student in Tennessee, Kade Frank high school student in Wisconsin, Trayce Chrusfield III high school student in Illinois, Nicolai Marinho high school student in California, Ben Hutchinson at The Ohio State University, and Dozie Ononye at Fort Valley State.

During the tournament, fans can look forward to Kevin Pratte's active participation, including helping with the livestream, setting up a promotional table for the foundation, participating in the ceremonial first whistle during a Juniata match, and providing sideline reporting throughout the event.
