Mellor, Phillips & Sierer Named to AVCA All-Region Team, DeHaven Tabbed Region III Coach of the Year
LEXINGTON, Ky.- The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced the 2026 Division III Men's Volleyball All-Region teams Tuesday. Chris Mellor, Tyler Phillips and Will Sierer were each named to the team while Head Coach Glenn DeHaven was named Region III Coach of the Year.
Mellor added to his growing list of accolades after being named to the Continental Volleyball Conference first team and the CVC Playoff All-Tournament Team last week. He currently is hitting .477 with 139 kills, two aces and 47 total blocks so far this season.
Phillips also made the CVC all-conference first team and the CVC Playoff All-Tournament team last week. He has 283 kills while hitting .278 so far this season, along with 34 aces, 160 digs and 65 total blocks on the season.
Sierer was the other Eagle to make the CVC all-conference first team and took home MVP honors at the CVC championship. He has 931 assists, 36 kills, 15 aces, 149 digs, and 33 total blocks.
DeHaven adds All-Region Coach of the Year to his dossier after being named the CVC Coach of the Year. DeHaven has led the Eagles to a 29-2 record, and to the program's fifth CVC crown. The Eagles went 8-2 against nationally ranked foes and completed their first undefeated regular season at home inside Memorial Gymnasium.
Juniata is hosting the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament, and will play the winner of Wentworth vs Wittenburg, Friday April 17 at 4:00.
Each of the four region teams includes 14 players, and a Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, and Coach of the Year were selected for each region. The 56 student-athletes who made All-Region represent 27 different schools. Leading the way with four selections are Lasell University, Messiah University, New York University, Springfield College, and the Wentworth Institute of Technology
