Sierer, Phillips, Mellor Named AVCA All-Americans
Lexington, Ky.- The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced the 2026 Division III Men's Volleyball All-America teams on Monday afternoon. Will Sierer was named a Second-Team All-American, with both Tyler Phillips and Chris Mellor being named All-American Honorable Mentions.
Will Sierer picked up accolade after accolade this year, being named the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) Player of the Week twice as well as the AVCA Player of the Week once as well. Sierer undoubtedly has cemented himself (as a Junior) as one of the best in the entire nation. Will took home MVP honors in the CVC championship game and was named to the NCAA Regional All-Tournament team. Sierer recorded 980 assists, 164 digs, 39 kills, and 16 service aces. Sierer was seventh in the country in assists per set as well.
Tyler Phillips picked up his first All-American selection as an Eagle after recording a career and team high 304 kills. Phillips hit .281 on the year, adding 69 total blocks as well, which was second on the team. Phillips was elite on the serve, picking up 35 service aces and only recording two reception errors on 46 attempts.
Chris Mellor picked up his first All-American award after a very successful season for the Eagles. Mellor was absolutely dominant on the offensive side of the ball, hitting .463, which, if qualified, would be the second-best in the entire nation. Mellor added 47 total blocks as well, proving to be among the best in the nation.
