Juniata men run to seventh place finish in Dickinson Long-Short Invite
CARLISLE, PA. – The Juniata men’s cross country team combined for 207 points at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational in Carlisle, Pa. on Saturday to finish seventh as a team.
CARLISLE, PA. – The Juniata men's cross country team combined for 207 points at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational in Carlisle, Pa. on Saturday to finish seventh as a team.
The Eagles earned 139 points in the long race, led by junior Nathaniel Alter (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice), who finished his race 32nd overall with a 27:26 time.
Trevor Stephens (Bethesda, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) and Ryan Trexler (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) crossed the finish line 62nd and 65th respectively with Stephens taking home a 28:15 time and Trexler running at a 28:18 pace.
In the short race, Juniata accumulated 68 points with freshman Ryan Bogdan (Buffalo, N.Y./Canisius) leading the men with a time of 13:40.2 for a 20th overall finish. Freshman Matt Guetzlaff (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) was the next Juniata runner to cross the finish line. He completed the race in 14:02.3 and finished in 33rd.
The Eagles will next run at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational on Saturday, October 6.
