HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The recent mild weather has given the Juniata College softball team a chance to host another game. The Eagles were originally scheduled to travel to Mount Aloysius College on Saturday, March 22, but the doubleheader has been moved to Huntingdon for more favorable field conditions. "We're excited to start playing at home," said head coach Sam Kszepka. "Everybody has been working really hard to get it ready and the staff here are making it possible for us to play here tomorrow. We're excited that we're able to get to play."
It will be a full weekend of competition for the Eagles who also host Elizabethtown College on Sunday, March 23 in their Landmark Conference home opener. Juniata has split its first conference home series in three of the past five years. This will be Elizabethtown's first Landmark Conference matchup, as the Blue Jays finally become full members of the league this season.
The doubleheader on Sunday starts with first pitch at 1 p.m.
