Eagles Clinch Landmark Playoff Spot with Walk Off Win Over Elizabethtown

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- With the game tied at 3-3 in the bottom of the eighth inning, Allie Baney (State College, Pa./State College) singled to bring home the winning run as the Eagles softball team rallied to defeat Elizabethtown 4-3 in the first game of a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon at West End Field. The win clinches the fourth and final playoff spot in the Landmark Tournament for Juniata and is the team’s first playoff berth since 2013.

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata softball team did something on Sunday that it hasn’t done since 2009 and that was sweep Scranton. The Eagles won 11-6 in the first game and took the second game 8-4.
