Shedlock Named ECAC South Rookie of the Week

DANBURY, CONN.- The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the Corvias Softball Players of the Week for the week ending March 26. Freshman outfielder Alyssa Shedlock (State College, Pa./State College) was named the ECAC South Rookie of the Week.

Shedlock batted .625 for the Eagles in six games last week. She collected 10 hits, eight runs scored, two doubles, two homeruns, and five runs batted in. Against Scranton on Sunday, Shedlock was 5-for-6 with a double and a home run, five runs scored and two batted in as Juniata swept the Royals for the first time since 2009. In the field on the week, she was a perfect 8-of-8 on the week.
